Autoliv-Nissin Brake Systems and its 200 workers may be moving from Tall Timbers Industrial Park to a building to be constructed a half-mile away.
The company sought feedback today from Findlay City Planning Commission on plans for 194,400-square-feet of industrial warehouse space at the southwest corner of Bigelow Avenue and Bright Road. An additional 28,800 square feet at the building would be for offices. The maker of sensors for brake systems will likely be returning soon to seek formal approval from the commission.
Autoliv hopes to have construction started by October and finished by September 2018, said Tim Mayle, director of Findlay-Hancock County Economic Development. After that, more time would be needed to install and test machinery and equipment, he said.
